What is Podcasting Anyway?
Podcasting is a way of publishing sound files to the Internet, that allows users to receive new audio files automatically. You can think of this like an audio version of a magazine subscription. You sign up for the service and then when new features are posted on this site, the files will automatically download to your computer and/or portable MP3 player.
What do I need?
First of all you DON'T need an iPod, although that is where podcasting gets it's name. What you do need is a piece of software called a podcast receiver. Some of the most commonly used podcast receivers appear below.
- Subscribe with iTunes
- Subscribe with a web-based podcatcher:
Subscribe with Netvibes
Subscribe with Yahoo
Subscribe with Google - Subscribe using other software. Follow the links below for more information about these podcast receivers.
Get Juice
Get iPodderX
Get Doppler
Get Nimiq
Supply the following URL to your podcast receiver:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/CatholicCardinalReflections/
Your podcast receiver will then automatically check our site for updates every time you run it, and may allow you to transfer media files to a portable media player.
