About Us

Lectors proclaim the Good News of the Scriptures in the midst the community. The readings are assigned prior to Mass. Along with scripture texts, lectors are also given supplementary materials of theological and historical background to help them better understand the texts.

Serving as a Lector

We welcome new lectors throughout the year to assist with reading the Scripture. Training sessions are generally held at the beginning of each academic quarter. If you are interested in serving as a lector, please contact Teresa Pleins. Thank you!
