Infant Baptisms

Baptism

Infant baptisms are celebrated once each quarter during the 4:30PM Sunday Mass, and are open to the children of all registered, active, participating members of the Catholic Community at Stanford.

The Preparation process for first time parents includes a general session with all the new parents and new godparents held on the Saturday morning, a week before the baptisms. This meeting is held in the Common Room on the third floor of Old Union from 10:00-11:30AM. Parents who have already gone through baptism preparation for older children need to check in with Teresa as soon as they can with the necessary information of name of child, names of godparents, etc., but no later than two weeks before the baptisms. For more information contact Chaplain Teresa Pleins (tpleins@stanford.edu).

During Summer 2016, we will celebrate baptisms on:

  • Sunday, June 26 (preparation session on Saturday, June 18)
  • Sunday, August 21 (preparation session on Saturday, August 13)

During the coming academic year 2016-17:

  • Sunday, October 30 (preparation Saturday, October 19)
  • Winter and Spring Quarter dates yet to be determined
