Infant Baptisms

Baptism

Infant baptisms are celebrated once each quarter during the 4:30PM Sunday Mass, and are open to the children of all registered, active, participating members of the Catholic Community at Stanford.

The Preparation process for first time parents includes a general session with all the new parents and new godparents held on the Saturday morning, a week before the baptisms. This meeting is held in the Common Room on the third floor of Old Union from 10:00-11:30AM. Parents who have already gone through baptism preparation for older children need to check in with Teresa as soon as they can with the necessary information of name of child, names of godparents, etc., but no later than two weeks before the baptisms. For more information contact Chaplain Teresa Pleins (tpleins@stanford.edu).

For Summer 2015, we will celebrate baptisms at Mass on:

  • Sunday, August 30 (preparation session on Saturday, August 22)

During Academic Year 2015-16, we will celebrate baptisms on:

  • Sunday, October 25, 2015 (preparation session on Saturday, October 17)
  • Sunday, January 31, 2016 (preparation session on Saturday, January 23)
  • A date for spring quarter is yet to be determined.
