Small Groups

Where two or three are gathered in My Name, there am I in the midst of them.
- Matthew 18:20

Small groups have been an important part of the our Catholic Community at Stanford.  They provide an opportunity to explore your faith and integrate your life experience with the Sacred Scriptures and our Catholic tradition while building supportive relationships with peers.  Our hope this year is to offer opportunities to participate in small groups for undergrads, grads and post docs.  Here are some examples of the model we hope to provide:

  • The ideal group would have 6 – 8 students who gather weekly to share their faith journey and reflect on Sunday's readings.
  • Groups formed along class year (all-freshman group, etc.).
  • Groups formed along gender (all female/all male/coed).
  • Groups formed along common interests/studies (service, spirituality, law students, medical students, business students, etc.)

If you are interested in helping create this model for small groups or becoming a facilitator, please contact Chaplain Nancy Greenfield, Campus Minister Lourdes Alonso, or call (650) 723-2490.
