C@S (Catholics @ Stanford)
Undergraduate fellowship

Are you Catholic? Are you at Stanford? Then C@S has something for you! We are the Undergraduate Catholics at Stanford Group that focuses on four areas of interest: Community Service, Education, Social Activities and Spirituality. We have a core team of Undergraduate students who host activities and events in these four areas. We encourage you to check them out! See the C@S web page or the bulletin for more information, or contact the interns: Andrew Barba or Estella Cisneros.

GC@S
Graduate Student Fellowship

Are you a graduate student interested in deepening your spirituality? Are you interested in taking a break from work, having some fun, and meeting new people? Activities coordinated through the CCAS Grad Student group, also called GC@S provides a relaxed and friendly setting for Catholic grad students to get to know each other and feel comfortable within the larger Catholic community. We meet for dinner at our Annex at 1565 Stanford Ave. (near Bowdoin St.) on the second and fourth Sundays during the regular academic year, holidays excepted. This is a drop-in dinner after the 4:30pm Mass, with volunteer "chefs" from the grad student commnity. We also have a speaker at least once a quarter, and a Saturday daytime outing quarterly, as well as ad hoc events such as Pub Nights or Movie Nights. Come join us! We'd love to get to know you! For more information contact Jeremiah Loverich.

Young Adult Community
http://www.YoungAdultCircle.org
The Young Adult Community consists of diverse individuals in their 20's and 30's at various stages in their faith journeys. We have weekly faith sharing and Bible study on Tuesday nights. We have social justice outreach on most Saturdays. We have social events and dinners whenever possible, and often. We will have a retreat October 5-7, 2007. Come join us! To contact our young adult community, email stanfordyoungadultcircle@yahoo.com or contact Larry Hu (lhu_ccas@yahoo.com).

Permanent Community
There are opportunities for spiritual growth available to the permanent community such as Small Groups, a Book Group, Busy Person's Retreat and various lectures and classes (see Education for more information). If you are interested in Community Service, there are many organizations which would welcome your help such as the Peninsula Interfaith Action Committee (PIA), Pax Christi, or one of the many opportunities for service listed in this brochure. We hold several events throughout the year as a way to make new friends and build fellowship. There is a permanent community reception each year, two all-community BBQ's (October 7, 2007 and June 1, 2008), and potluck dinners held at the homes of various community members. We always welcome community volunteers to help with our barbecues, undergraduate dinners, and planning of social events. Contact Chaplain Catherine Wolff or Chaplain Nancy Greenfield if you are interested, and watch the bulletin for upcoming events.

Catholic Gay and Lesbian Ministry
One of our small groups will be dedicated to bringing together members of our community who share a gay, lesbian, transgender, or bi-sexual orientation. The goal of the group will be to explore the gift of God's love and the service of the Church to all who ask for these in faith. For information, please contact Fr. Patrick LaBelle or Chaplain Teresa Pleins.

St. Thomas More Society
