Confirmation is one of the seven sacraments instituted by Christ for the conferral of sanctifying grace and the strengthening of the union between individual souls and God.

 

 

 

 

Preparation for Confirmation

University Students and Permanent Community Members
Stanford students and permanent community members who wish to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation are invited to enroll in our preparation program. It includes an inital individual interview; on-campus group sessions held most Tuesday evenings January 13 through April 14; a retreat with sponsors on April 18; and the reception of the sacrament on April 19, 2009. For more information or to schedule an interview, contact Fr. Nathan Castle.

Those interested in a more in-depth year-long preparation may participate in the RCIA program which meets weekly during the fall and winter quarters. See RCIA below for more information, and contact Fr. Nathan Castle.

High-School Students
The Confirmation preparation program for high school students who are members of our Catholic Community at Stanford is held at the annex twice monthly on Sunday afternoons beginning September 21, 2008. Confirmation will take place on April 19, 2009. For more information and registration, contact Fr. Nathan Castle.
